World Flags Globes (GIF)

– by

A rotating political globe is presented in two distinct visual styles. In the first animation, each country is filled with its own national flag, carefully clipped to match precise political boundaries. This creates a map-like effect where the flags are seamlessly integrated into the geography, allowing viewers to recognize both the shape of each nation and its symbolic colors at a glance.

In the second animation, the globe is entirely covered with the flags of all countries, forming a continuous, decorative surface. To maintain visual balance on the spherical form, the flags are repeated and scaled—appearing smaller near the poles due to the curvature of the Earth. As a result, some flags appear more than once in different regions, emphasizing the global composition rather than strict geographic placement.
