The FK Sarajevo logo is based on a maroon shield with a white border and a curved upper section that narrows into a pointed lower end. The upper-right section of the shield contains a vintage-style white football divided by maroon seams, with the founding year "1946" displayed directly beneath it. A white band runs along the left and lower edges of the shield and carries the club name "FK SARAJEVO" in bold lettering, clearly identifying the team and its home city. The shield shape follows a traditional style found in Bosnian and Herzegovinian sports crests, conveying a sense of strength, unity, and community identity. Maroon and white are the club's official and traditional colors and form the basis of its distinctive visual identity, giving rise to the popular nickname Bordo tim ("The Maroon Team"). The vintage football represents the sport itself and the club's foundational football heritage, while the year 1946 commemorates the establishment of FK Sarajevo through the merger of the local teams Udarnik and Sloboda. The combination of the pointed shield, maroon-and-white colors, classic football, founding year, and curved FK SARAJEVO lettering creates an emblem that connects the club with its origins, Sarajevo identity, traditional visual character, and long-standing place in Bosnian football.
