Flag of Costa Rica (GIF)

The national flag of Costa Rica (Spanish: Bandera de Costa Rica) is a simple yet deeply symbolic design, consisting of five horizontal stripes in blue, white, and red, with a coat of arms on the red band. The blue stripes represent the two oceans that border the country—the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Caribbean Sea to the east—signifying Costa Rica's geographical location and its commitment to peace and tranquility. The white stripes symbolize the land between these two bodies of water and the peaceful nature of its people. The red stripe, situated in the center, signifies the blood shed by those who fought for the country's independence. Together, these colors and their arrangement represent Costa Rica's commitment to democracy, peace, and its proud history of independence and freedom. In addition, only the state uses the flag with a coat of arms; civilians use the flag without a coat of arms, seen below.

The coat of arms of Costa Rica is a highly symbolic emblem with a meaningful design. It prominently features three volcanoes, symbolizing the three mountain ranges in the country, and two seas, representing the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, highlighting Costa Rica's unique geographical location. The inclusion of two sailing ships signifies the nation's maritime history and trade connections. The seven stars above the volcanoes represent the seven provinces of Costa Rica. Surrounding the central elements are golden beads, symbolizing coffee beans, which have historically been a crucial and valuable product of the country's agriculture. This coat of arms beautifully encapsulates Costa Rica's natural beauty, geographical diversity, historical significance, and its role in the global economy, making it a powerful emblem of the nation's identity and heritage.

I am having a software problem while rendering these colors (some frames are broken). Sometimes that happens and I have to deal with it for hours. I wanted to see if it's the official colors, but the official source in the Wikipedia discussion doesn't work. Also, I think the tones available on this page look more beautiful and harmonious. I'll try again if the colors are updated again.
