Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas Flag (GIF)
Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas, also known as Botafogo, is a Brazilian sports club based in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil that plays in the Brasileirão Série A (2023), the top tier of the Brazilian football league system. The Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas flag (Portuguese: Bandeira do Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas) consists of five black and four white stripes, with the Lone Star in the black square in the upper left. The Lone Star, which is also on the flag and coat of arms of Botafogo, was the main symbol of Club de Regatas Botafogo and has become one of the most important symbols of the team after the two Botafogos merged.
