The Nashville Predators (often referred to as the Preds) are a professional ice hockey team based in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, and compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Central Division in the Western Conference. This unofficial Nashville Predators flag consists of the team's official logo and a yellow background derived from the logo. The logo consists of a side view of the head of a roaring, saber-toothed tiger. The predator, also known as Smilodon floridius, which lived about 12,000 years ago, was chosen as the team logo based on its skeleton being found in a construction study in Nashville in 1971.
