The Montreal Canadiens (French: Les Canadiens de Montréal), colloquially known as the Habs, are a professional ice hockey team based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. And they compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division. This unofficial Montreal Canadiens flag (French: drapeau non officiel des Canadiens de Montréal) consists of the team's official logo and a tricolor background derived from the logo. Its logo, consisting of a lowercase "H" inside a depressed "C", stands for le Club de hockey Canadien (The Canadian Hockey Club), the official name of the hockey team.
