Sport Lisboa e Benfica, commonly known as Benfica, is a professional football club based in Lisbon, Portugal, that competes in the Primeira Liga (2021-22), the top flight of Portuguese football. This unofficial S.L. Benfica flag (Portuguese: bandeira não oficial do S.L. Benfica) consists of the team's official logo and a red background derived from the logo. The logo features an eagle (from the Sport Lisboa emblem), symbolizing authority and nobility, on top of a bicycle wheel, representing the club's first sport, and the motto "E pluribus unum" ("One of many"), describing the unity among club members. And on a red and white shield, symbolizing courage and peace, respectively, there is a soccer ball symbolizing football and a blue diagonal stripe with the initials of the team name on it.
