Union Sportive de la Médina d'Alger, commonly known as USM Alger or simply USMA, is an Algerian professional football club based in the inner suburbs of Algiers, Algeria. The team competes in Ligue Professionnelle 1, the top tier of Algerian football, and is one of the country's successful and historically significant clubs. This unofficial USM Alger flag (Arabic: علم اتحاد الجزائر غير الرسمي; French: drapeau non officiel de l'USM Alger) features the club's official emblem set against a red-and-black vertically striped background, a design inspired by the team's iconic home jersey and long-standing visual identity.

The shield-shaped USM Alger logo features the team's abbreviation "USMA" prominently displayed in gold letters across the upper black section. The lower part of the shield is covered with vertical red-and-black stripes and contains a central emblem surrounded by a black ring. At the center of this emblem is a vintage soccer ball, around which the club's name "UNION SPORTIVE MÉDINA D'ALGER" is written, with the numbers "19" and "37" separated by a crescent and star to represent the club's founding year, 1937. Above the central emblem is a fortress representing the Casbah of Algiers, while an old sailing ship below it symbolizes the Algerian fleet. The red color represents the blood of the martyrs and the immense sacrifices made by the Algerian people and the club's members in the struggle for freedom and independence. Black was adopted as a color of mourning for the victims of the May 8, 1945 massacres perpetrated by French colonial forces. The club's founding date, July 5, 1937, also carries a significant connection to the city's identity, as July 5 later became the date of Algeria's independence in 1962. Three gold stars above the shield represent the club's major titles and championships won at domestic and continental level, including the CAF Confederation Cup. Together, the fortress, sailing ship, vintage soccer ball, crescent and star, red-and-black colors, founding date, and championship stars reflect USM Alger's deep connection with Algiers, Algerian history, national identity, and the sacrifices associated with the country's struggle for independence.
