Fußball-Club Augsburg 1907 e.V., commonly known as FC Augsburg or Augsburg, is a German football club based in Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany that plays in the Bundesliga (2022–23), the top tier of the German football league system. This unofficial FC Augsburg flag (German: inoffizielle Flagge des FC Augsburg) consists of the team's official logo and a red-green-white background derived from the logo. The red-and-white shield and the pinecone in the logo are derived from the city's coat of arms. The red and white colors date back to the 14th century and are attributed to the Bishop of Augsburg and the Duke of Swabia. The pine cone was a symbol of the Holy Roman Empire at the time the city was founded (15 BC).
