The flag of Gibraltar (Spanish: Bandera de Gibraltar) is a white flag with a red stripe at the bottom and includes a two-story castle with three towers centered on the flag and a golden key hanging on the castle door. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 1:2, and the flag was adopted on November 8, 1982. Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula. Its capital is Gibraltar; its population is approximately 33,691 (2021); and its area is 6.5 km².
