Liguria Flag GIF (Bandiera Ligure)

The four six-pointed stars represent the four provinces of Liguria: Genoa, Imperia, La Spezia, and Savona. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 3:4, and the flag was adopted on July 7, 1997. Liguria is a coastal region in northwestern Italy. Its capital is Genoa; its population is about 1.551 million (2019); and its area is 5,416 km².
