White represents peace, five white triangles represent the five pillars of Islam, and red represents the Kharijite sect of Islam. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 3:5, and the flag was adopted on February 14, 2002.
In addition, its shield-shaped coat of arms, covered with the Bahrain flag, is decorated with various motifs in red and white.
