Flag of Nevada (GIF)



The Nevada flag is composed of a cobalt blue field with a state emblem on the top left. The state's emblem features a silver star above the state's name. Above the star is the motto "Battle Born," one of the state's mottoes. There are two green sages (state flowers) with yellow flowers beneath them. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 2:3, and the flag was adopted on July 25, 1991. Nevada is a state in the West, Mountain West, and Southwest regions of the United States. Its capital is Carson City, and its largest city is Las Vegas; its population is about 3.144 million (2021), and its area is 110,572 mi².
