North Dakota Flag GIF

The design of the North Dakota flag is almost identical to the pennant used in the Philippine-American War. There is an eagle holding an olive branch and arrows in its claws. The thirteen-striped shield on the eagle's chest symbolizes the original thirteen states. The eagle carries a ribbon in its beak saying "E Pluribus Unum" (Latin for "out of many, one"). The flag also resembles the Great Seal of the United States. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 3:5, and the flag was adopted on November 9, 1943.

North Dakota is a US state located in the Midwest and the northern regions of the United States. Its capital is Bismarck, and its largest city is Fargo; its population is about 774,948 (2021), and its area is 70,698 mi².
