Flag of Oregon (GIF)
The flag of Oregon is a two-sided flag in dark blue and yellow. The front side of the flag is composed of a coat of arms from the state seal, while the back side consists of a yellow beaver figure, the animal of the state. Blue and yellow represent Oregon's state colors. The stars symbolize Oregon's admission to the Union as the 33rd state. 1859 is the year Oregon became a state.
Oregon is a state in the Pacific Northwest region on the West Coast of the United States. Its capital is Salem, and its largest city is Portland; its population is about 4.246 million (2021), and its area is 98,379 mi².
