The flag of Bangsamoro (Filipino: Bandila ng Bangsamoro; Arabic: علم بانجسامورو) is a symbolically rich composition featuring three horizontal stripes: green, white, and red. The green stripe signifies the region's majority Muslim population, while the white stripe represents purity, and the red stripe embodies the historical struggle of the Bangsamoro people. Positioned at the center of the white stripe is a yellow seven-pointed star encircled by a crescent, symbolizing the guiding principles that fueled the Bangsamoro's pursuit of self-determination. The seven points of the star correspond to the local governments within the region, reflecting unity in diversity. The golden yellow hue represents the optimistic vision of a "bright future" for Bangsamoro. Additionally, a white sword is centered on the red stripe, symbolizing the region's commitment to protection and resistance against "tyranny, oppression, and injustice." In its entirety, the flag encapsulates the historical narrative, cultural identity, and aspirations for a harmonious and prosperous future for the Bangsamoro people.

Bangsamoro, an autonomous region in the southern Philippines, was established to address the historical grievances of the Muslim-majority population. With Cotabato City serving as its provisional capital, the region encompasses various provinces, including parts of Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi. Home to a diverse population of over 4.404 million (2020) people, Bangsamoro is characterized by its rich cultural heritage, primarily influenced by Islamic traditions. The region has a complex history shaped by the Moro struggle for self-determination, seeking to address socio-economic disparities and historical injustices. As the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) works towards greater autonomy, its governance structure reflects a commitment to inclusivity and representation of various ethnic groups and communities within its boundaries. The region is tasked with fostering economic development, social justice, and lasting peace, aiming to create a more equitable and harmonious future for its people.
