Bonaire Flag GIF (Vlag van Bonaire)

The Bonaire flag (Dutch: Vlag van Bonaire) has a large blue triangle in the lower right corner and a smaller yellow triangle in the upper left corner. The triangles are separated by a diagonal white stripe with a black compass and a red six-pointed star inside. The blue and yellow triangles represent the sea and the sun, respectively, while the white stripe between these two triangles represents the sky. The red, white, and blue colors also show Bonaire's allegiance to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The black compass represents the Bonaire population, which is made up of people from all over the world. The red six-pointed star represents Bonaire's original six villages: Antriol, Nikiboko, Nort Saliña, Playa, Rincon, and Tera Korá. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 2:3, and the flag was adopted on December 11, 1981.

Bonaire is an island in the southern Caribbean Sea and a public body of the Netherlands. Its capital is Kralendijk, and its population is about 20,104 (2019).
