Flag of Moldova (GIF)

The Moldova flag is a three-color flag consisting of three vertical blue, yellow, and red bands with the coat of arms of Moldova on the central yellow band. The Moldova flag is one of the national flags with different front and back faces. The front and back sides of the flag are a reflection of each other. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 1:2, and the flag was adopted on November 6, 1990.

The blue, yellow, and red colors of the Moldovan flag are the same as the national flag of Romania, with which it is nationally and culturally close. The eagle in the coat of arms has a golden cross in its beak, an olive branch and a golden scepter in its claws, and a shield on its chest with an aurochs head.

The Moldova flag is waving on a flagpole rising from the world globe.
Moldova, officially known as the Republic of Moldova, is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe. Its capital is Chişinău, and its population is about 3,548,000.
