Romania Flag GIF (Drapelul României)

The national flag of Romania (Romanian: drapelul României) is a tricolor flag consisting of three vertical stripes of blue, yellow, and red starting from the flagpole. The colors of the flag represent freedom (blue), justice (yellow), and brotherhood (red). The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 2:3, and the flag was adopted on December 27, 1989. Also, the Romanian flag's colors coincidentally resemble the flags of Andorra and Chad.

The blue shield on its coat of arms features an eagle, symbolizing courage, determination, strength, and magnificence. The eagle carries an Orthodox cross in its beak and a mace and a sword in its claws, symbolizing sovereignty. On the shield on the eagle's chest are the symbols of the country's historical provinces and two dolphins, symbolizing the country's Black Sea coast.
