The flag of the Republic of Artsakh (Armenian: Արցախի դրոշ) is a flag derived from the flag of Armenia, with only a white pattern attached. The white-stepped pattern symbolizes the current separation of Artsakh from Armenia and the desire for unity with the Motherland. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 1:2, and the flag was adopted on June 2, 1992. Also in its coat of arms is an eagle wearing an ornate crown and carrying a shield on her chest.
