Flag of Asturias (GIF)
The flag of Asturias (Spanish: Bandera de Asturias) consists of a light blue field with a yellow Victory Cross slightly to the left of the center. Two Greek letters hang on the cross of victory: "α" and "ω." The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 2:3, and the flag was adopted on December 19, 1990. Asturias is an autonomous community in the northwest of Spain. Its capital is Oviedo; its population is approximately 1.022 million (2019); and its area is 10,604 km².
