Flag of the Australian Capital Territory (GIF)



The Australian Capital Territory is a federal district of Australia in the southeast of the country and is an enclave within the state of New South Wales. Its capital is Canberra, its population is approximately 424,000, and its area is 2,280 km². The Australian Capital Territory flag consists of a yellow field with a blue vertical stripe on the left. There is a South Cross in white in the blue stripe and a coat of arms in the yellow field. Blue and white are the official colors of the city, and blue and yellow are the colors of the traditional sports of the Australian Capital Territory. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 1:2, and the flag was adopted in 1993.
