Flag of Valencia (GIF)



The Valencia flag (Spanish: Bandera de Valencia), known as Reial Senyera, is a traditional Senyera composed of four horizontal red lines on a yellow background with a vertical blue stripe on the left side. Between the horizontal lines and the blue stripe, there is a thin red stripe decorated with pearls, emeralds, and rubies. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 2:3, and the flag was adopted on July 1, 1982. Valencia, also known as the Valencian Community or the Valencian Country, is an autonomous Spanish community. Its capital is Valencia; its population is approximately 4.975 million (2019); and its area is 23,255 km².
