Northern Territory Flag GIF



The Northern Territory flag consists of a dark orange field with a black vertical stripe on the left. There is a South Cross in white in the black stripe and a stylized Sturt's Desert Rose in black and white in the orange field. The seven white petals of the flower represent the six Australian states and the Northern Territory. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 1:2, and the flag was adopted on July 1, 1978. The Northern Territory is a federal Australian territory in the central and central-northern regions of Australia. Its capital is Darwin; its population is approximately 246,500 (2020); and its area is 1,349,129 km².
