Flag of Saskatchewan (GIF)



The Saskatchewan flag (French: Drapeau de la Saskatchewan) consists of two horizontal green and yellow stripes. There is a coat of arms on the upper left and a floral emblem, the western red lily, on the right. Green represents northern Saskatchewan forest lands, while yellow represents rural areas in the south. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 1:2, and the flag was adopted on September 22, 1969.

Saskatchewan is a prairie province in western Canada. Its capital city is Regina, and its largest city is Saskatoon; its population is about 1.174 million (2019), and its area is 651,036 km².
