Flag of Moscow (GIF)
The flag of Moscow (Russian: Флаг Москвы) is a crimson-red flag with the coat of arms of the city in the center. The coat of arms shows Saint George, wearing armor and a blue cape, holding a spear on a horse. He looks like he's stabbing a spear into a dragon. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 2:3, and the flag was adopted on February 1, 1995. Moscow is the capital and most populous city in Russia. Its population is about 13.010 million (2021), and its area is 2,511 km².
