The Provence-Alpes-Cote-d'Azur flag (French: Drapeau de Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur) consists of four vertical red lines on a yellow background with an eagle and dolphin on the right side. The eagle and the dolphin are the coats of arms of the two old provinces that make up the Provence-Alpes-Cote-d'Azur region. The flag is also the coat of arms of Provence-Alpes-Cote-d'Azur. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 2:3, and the flag was adopted on January 12, 1999.
Provence-Alpes-Cote-d'Azur is one of the 18 administrative districts of France. It is located in the southeastern part of France, and its population is about 5.059 million (2019).
