Brittany Flag GIF (Drapeau de la Bretagne)

The Brittany flag (French: Drapeau de la Bretagne) is a two-color flag consisting of nine black and white horizontal lines with a weasel pattern in the canton. The nine horizontal stripes represent the traditional dioceses of Brittany, into which the duchy was divided historically. The patterned canton recalls the arms of the Duchy of Brittany. The height-to-width ratio of the flag is 2:3, and the flag was adopted in 1923. Brittany is a cultural region in the northwest of France with a population of about 3.329 million (2019).
