Flag of Pays de la Loire (GIF)



The Pays de la Loire flag (French: Drapeau des Pays de la Loire) is a vertically divided flag that consists of the coats of arms of the various departments that make up the Pays de la Loire region. The wavy border symbolizes the Loire River. The flag has two interlaced hearts in the middle of it, representing the heart of the Vendée. The height-to-width ratio of the flag is 2:3, and the flag was adopted in 1958. The Pays de la Loire is a region in the west of France with a population of 3.787 million (2019).
