Île-de-France Flag GIF (Drapeau de l'Île-de-France)
The Île-de-France flag (French: Drapeau de l'Île-de-France), which is also the logo of Île-de-France, is a simple white flag with an eight-pointed, hand-drawn red star and the red word "Île-de-France." The eight-pointed star symbolizes the eight departments of the Île-de-France region. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 2:3, and the flag was adopted on October 10, 2005.
Île-de-France is a region in the north of France with a population of about 12.21 million (2019). It includes the city of Paris and is the most populous of the 18 regions of France.
