North Ossetia-Alania Flag GIF (Флаг северной осетии алания гифка)
The flag of North Ossetia (Russian: Флаг Северной Осетии-Алании) is the same color as that of South Ossetia and consists of three horizontal stripes in white, red, and yellow from top to bottom. White represents moral purity, red represents martial courage, and yellow represents wealth and prosperity. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 1:2, and the flag was adopted on October 2, 1991. The Republic of North Ossetia-Alania is a federal region of Russia. Its capital is Vladikavkaz; its population is approximately 712,980 (2010); and its area is 8,000 km².
