Flag of Guam (GIF)

Guam is an island and region associated with the United States in the North Pacific Ocean. Its population is about 159,000 and its area is 209 mi². The Guam flag consists of a dark blue field with a red edge and a Guam seal in the middle. The red border represents the spilled blood in World War II and Spanish sovereignty. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 22:41, and the flag was adopted on February 9, 1948.
