Rhineland-Palatinate Flag GIF (Rheinland-Pfalz-Flagge)

The Rhineland-Palatinate flag (German: Landesflagge von Rheinland-Pfalz) is a tri-colored flag consisting of three horizontal bands of black, red, and yellow with the state coat of arms in the canton. The height-to-width ratio in the flag is 2:3, and the flag was adopted on May 10, 1945. It shows a white wheel on the right in the red field, a red cross in the white field on the left, and a golden lion in the lower black field with a red crown. Also, the coat of arms is covered with a golden crown.
