Flag of Neuchatel (GIF)

Neuchâtel is a French-speaking canton in Western Switzerland. Its capital is Neuchâtel, its population is approximately 178,000, and its area is 802 km². The Neuchâtel flag consists of three vertical stripes: green, white, and red, with a white cross in the upper right corner of the red stripe. The red color represents the south of Canton, the white color represents the valleys and the "white walls," and the green color represents the pastures and forests in the north of Canton. Also, the red color and the white cross mean allegiance to Switzerland.
