Neuchatel Flag GIF (Drapeau Neuchâtel)

The Neuchâtel flag (German: Flagge von Neuenburg; French: Drapeau de Neuchâtel) consists of three vertical stripes: green, white, and red, with a white cross in the upper right corner of the red stripe. The red color represents the south of Canton, the white color represents the valleys and the "white walls," and the green color represents the pastures and forests in the north of Canton. Also, the red color and the white cross mean allegiance to Switzerland. Neuchâtel is a French-speaking canton in western Switzerland. Its capital is Neuchâtel; its population is approximately 176,850 (2019); and its area is 802 km².
