The flag of Schaffhausen (German: Flagge von Schaffhausen; French: Drapeau de Schaffhouse) is a yellow square flag with a black ram with a horn and a crown. The Ram is a symbol of prehistoric religion, power, and fighting masculinity. The black and yellow colors originate from the old imperial standards. Schaffhausen is the most northern canton in Switzerland. Its capital is Schaffhausen; its population is about 81,991 (2019); and its area is 298 km².
